Basic AR exhibition

Hey all,

Bear with me here as I’ve never really done coding…

My teacher pointed EXPO to me as a way to create an app so that people could view a photo in AR.
Just like the bear (exp://exp.host/@schazers/ar) but a plain 2D photo…

I’m not sure if it’s possible but if it is, if you can point me out to some sort of tutorials or any other way to do it, I would be super glad. I tried Aurasma (now HP Reveal), but since the image is anchored to the trigger image, it’s not exactly what I’m looking for  (but it’s veryyyy close)
Thanks a lot in advance!

Hey @josnib,

I would take a look at this blog post: Introducing Expo AR: Three.js on ARKit | by Nikhilesh Sigatapu | Exposition

One caveat is that it’s a little out of date so you’ll want to be mindful of that.

Cheers,

Adam

Okay thanks @adamjnav! So i can make the cube static, but what if I want to wrap an image around the side facing me? would that be possible?
