Error 'xcrun' installing Expo on iOS Simulator

Please provide the following:

  1. SDK Version: 36.0.0
  2. Platforms(Android/iOS/web/all): iOS

Hi,

I am receiving the below error when I try to install expo on the iOS Simulator -

I have seen other posts with the same issue (2017-2018) however I have tried all the solutions and none worked -

  • Navigated to ~/.expo/ios-simulator-app-cache/ and removed the current expo apps and re-downloaded using expo client:install:ios
  • Erased all content and settings on simulator
  • Had simulator open first then ran expo start, then ‘i’

Any help appreciated!

Versions:
iOS - 10.14.6
xCode - 11.2 (also tried with 11.3 - same error)
expo - 3.12.1
