expo-av, error with player

Please provide the following:

  1. SDK Version: 35
  2. Platforms(Android/iOS/web/all): Android

Hello, when i want to use expo-av, after launching few mp4, the player doesn’t work. I . get MediaCodec$CodecException: Error.
I use Galaxy tab s2 and Google 3a.

on Galaxy tab s2:
com.google.android.exoplayer2.g.b$a: Decoder init failed: OMX.qcom.video.decoder.avc, Format(1, null, null, video/avc, null, -1, null, [1920, 1080, -1.0], [-1, -1])

I think in ios, i have no error…

Any solution ?

I’ve also been developing an app since few months and I’m also struggling with issue, couldn’t get to a valid solution yet. Sometimes the same video displays and works as expected but after reloading the app it sometimes disappears and leaves a blank view with the same error on console, could be due to issue in resolution & pixels adjustments. Please attend to it as it’s creating a roadblock in the process of uploading and playing videos on android
