Expo Produktion standalone crashes on iOS and Android on second start

Please provide the following:

  1. SDK Version: 40
  2. Platforms(Android/iOS/web/all): Android & iOS
  3. Add the appropriate “Tag” based on what Expo library you have a question on.

After downloading my standalone expo iOS and android app from the App Store I can open the app once. and everything works perfectly. On second star the app crashes. I don’t see backend logs during the crash. seems to happen before the first backend call. I didnt release a new version and even if I install an old version with TestFlight I have the same problem. What could it be?

Development works perfectly fine

I heard that on first open a cashed js bundle is loaded and on second load of the app the newest version. could that be the problem?
