I have an iMac but I’m planning to buy a Mac Air for portable use. Can Expo XDE run smoothly on a Mac Air with 8gb of Ram? Can I install it on an external hard drive? Is it based on the Cloud or entirely live/build on the local machine? If so how does it sync with an actual device like an iPhone for testing or does the build process just rely on emulators?

I believe if Apple’s XCode runs to your satisfaction on your Mac Air, XDE will run smoothly as well.
I’ve never tried Xcode on a Mac Air, but according to research it works but a little slower than a Pro.
Does anybody have first-hand experience of deploying on an Air?
