Is it possible to switch the camera direction, while recording a video but have the video continue recording?

Unfortunately this isn’t possible at the moment. If you switch the camera direction while recording, the session will be terminated. I would recommend creating a Feature Request here Feature Requests | Expo detailing what you want out of the Camera API.
