Installing Expo XDE

Hi

I’m very new to expo and I’m confused as to how to install the necessary programs. I’ve seen videos on youtube about installing Expo XDE but it seems as if those videos are outdated because I can’t find Expo XDE.

Following the 6 step getting started guide, I get stuck on step 3. Where exactly do I run the following line: “npm install expo-cli --global” and where do I actually write my code? Does running that line install another program on my computer that will allow me to write code?

Apologies for my ignorance but this is all very new to me.
