Greetings from Italy!
I was just wondering about the use of the “Production Mode” vs “Dev Mode”, I try to set it from the browser or from the console with the P key but no matter what I do I always get:
DEV === true, development-level warning are ON, performance optimizations are OFF
when I refresh the App in Expo.
Running on Mac OS, expo-cli 2.6.13 and node 10.14.2

Sorry to hear your having some issues with the expo-cli in Italy! Can you let me know if running the command expo start --no-dev successfully enables production mode for you?

Thank you for the reply, problem solved, user error 
I was refreshing the app in expo(android RR, ios cmd R), not reloading the project.
When reloading the project it indeed switches correctly!
