Using Device Tokens instead of Expo?

Hi there,

We have a legacy app which has many users, and a push notification server already in existence. We’d like to run a seperate PN server to service these existing users. It makes sense to use Expo’s PN as we’re using this framework successfully already.

Is there any insight into how we might be able to use the device tokens already available/captured to send PNs using Expo’s PN server, and not use the Expo token? Some kind of conversion? I realise it’s unlikely, but thought I’d ask.

I think it might be a hack with api Expo, but it’s complicated, you could use Signal or FCM
