What are the smallest dimensions for a QR code to be readable by most smart phones?

  1. SDK Version: 39
  2. Platforms(Android/iOS/web/all): all

We’re planning on utilizing BarCodeScanner (https://docs.expo.io/versions/latest/sdk/bar-code-scanner/) for a mobile project. What are the smallest dimensions for a QR code to be readable by most smart phones?

I imagine that would depend on the amount of information you are encoding, the level of error correction, and the resolution of the camera.
FWIW, I had no trouble scanning a QR code about 1cm2 with my Galaxy S8. The encoded value is a 14 digit number. I have no idea what the level of error correction is.
