Does expo have any plans to support react-native-extra-dimensions-android without detaching?
It’s a pretty commonly used packages for managing the dismissible navigation bar on Android. It is also the primary suggested fix for a known issue with react-native-modal where the modal won’t cover the bottom portion of the screen with the navigation bar dismissed. See: react-native-modal - npm FAQ “The backdrop is not completely filled/covered on some Android devices (Galaxy, for one)”.
As far as I’m aware we don’t have any current, active plans to integrate this library in the Expo SDK but I think it would be a great addition. I would recommend creating a Feature Request on our Canny Feature Requests | Expo so that we can keep track of it and other Exponauts can voice their desire for its inclusion in the SDK.
