Expo CLI freezes when trying to open on Android

As soon as I click “Run on Android device/emulator” or type “a” in the terminal, expo freezes. The webpage won’t reload and the terminal becomes unresponsive. I even tried uninstalling and reinstalling expo-cli.But scanning the QR code from the expo app on my android device seems to work just fine
