Expo standalone iOS app stuck on splash screen

Hey all… I have an app I’m building for iOS that works fine via the expo app (both in development non-dev mode) and also launches fine via the expo published app on the site, but when I try to run the standalone app .ipa that I downloaded off TestFlight it just sits on the splash screen.

I’ve plugged in and I’m checking the live stream of iPhone logs, and keep getting this pattern of errors… any ideas? I’ve built and deployed to Test Flight several times over the past few months, with the last successful build being 2 days ago; this just started with my latest build today.

Just a guess, but I think this is the issue. (In this case the 30 refers to that it’s the 30th attempt, and 30th time this error has shown.)

ExpoKitApp(libsystem_network.dylib)[13745] <Error>: nw_connection_get_connected_socket_block_invoke 30 Connection has no connected handler

The block I pasted above keeps repeating in my logs, with this Error seeming to be the one that has the most information in it. Any ideas?

Today, after building standalone apps, I got error, too…Can you help me check it?

Getting the same error in today’s expo build.

Need help please.

Yes, there is indeed a problem with the new builds. If I download the previous build from testflight, it works without any issues.

Having the same issue with today’s expo build as mentionned by @deepz, with no known change to my app’s code or package versions …

Hi everyone. We’re taking a look at this. Thanks for the report.

We are having the same issue as well. Android builds are running fine.

We believe this is the underlining issue from the log:

Mar 19 13:56:58 pc ExpoKitApp[98549]: assertion failed: 17C88 15C107: libxpc.dylib + 72226 [EE650BC3-0539-32F0-9205-ECF6755E856F]: 0x7d

We’re testing a fix right now.

Ok this issue should be fixed for future builds. Let me know if it happens again.

Seems to work locally via exp build:ios -t simulator. Will update once pushed to TestFlight.

Thanks for the work Expo team!
